| Jade Ewen Jade Almarie Louise Ewen (born 24 January 1988 in Plaistow, London) is an English singer, actress, songwriter and is the 6th member to join british girl band Sugababes. She became the newest member of the group, after replacing the longest surviving original 'babe' Keisha Buchanan in September 2009. Their seventh studio album entitled Sweet 7 is scheduled to be released on 8th March 2010. Before her success, with eurovision, and joining the Sugababes, Ewen starred in an r&b girl trio titled Trinity Stone. The band acheived limited success in Ireland, UK and Russia, before their 2008 split.Ewen began her career performing in the role of Nala in the West End production of The Lion King. She then progressed into television in both the United Kingdom and Australia making several appearances on a number of well-known shows On 31 January 2009 Ewen won the British national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and represented the country at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow on 16 May, in which she achieved, out of a total of 25 countries, 5th place for the United Kingdom.
