Paloma Faith (born Paloma Faith Blomfield; 21 July 1985) is a British singer and actress.

Faith's first recognized work was a song titled "It's Christmas (And I Hate You)" as a duet with Josh Weller. In June 2009, she performed a live set for BBC's 'Radio 2 Introduces...' and gave an interview to the station's host, Dermot O'Leary. Her first single "Stone Cold Sober" debuted at no. 17 on the UK Singles Chart. Faith performed at numerous festivals throughout the summer, including T4 On The Beach. Faith released her debut album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, in September 2009. Faith wrote the album in the UK, Sweden and America and recorded it entirely in London. Her music is influenced by soul and jazz and her singing style has been compared favourably to that of Amy Winehouse and Duffy. On her appearance on Later... Jools Holland compared her voice to that of Etta James.
On 29 September 2009, Faith announced her first tour on her offical website. The tour featured dates in the UK, Germany and France. On 4 November 2009, Faith announced a UK/Ireland tour for March 2010.
Faith recorded an appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks on 23 September 2009, with the show broadcast on 1 October 2009. On the 22nd October 2009, Faith appeared on current events programme This Week discussing her views on the education system in Britain with Michael Portillo. On 16 October 2009, Paloma performed her single "New York" on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. She also appeared in Jools Holland's BBC show, Later with Jools Holland, recorded on 13 October 2009, and his live Hootenanny on 31 December 2009. She performed Upside Down from her album, on The Hollyoaks Music Show in October 2009.
As an actress Faith has co-starred as "Andrea" in the 2007 film, St Trinian's, she has also appeared in Terry Gilliam's 2009 film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Faith appears as a guest vocalist on the track "What's a Girl Got to Do?" from Brixton band Basement Jaxx's 2009 album, Scars. She also appears in the video for Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's song, "The Beat That My Heart Skipped".
A song by Faith entitled, "I Just Wait", is used as the backing track for a UK TV advert promoting sensible drinking, with the motto, "You wouldn't start a night like this, so why end it that way?". Her single "Stone Cold Sober" was also the backing track for a 2009 Rimmel commercial starring Lily Cole. Her song "Technicolour" currently appears in Samsung's Corby cellphone TV commercial.
In November 2009, Faith became involved with an album artwork competition with BBC Blast, in which 13–19 year-old winners will work alongside leading artists, photographers and music industry professionals to create new Paloma Faith publicity artwork.
